Moray East Offshore Wind Farm Jacket Transport Completed

On November 25, 2020, MV Hawk discharged her final jacket foundation for the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm.OHT’s heavy transportation vessel carried its second load of 10jackets from Lamprell’s fabrication site in Hamriyah, UAE, arriving at the Port of Nigg in the Cromarty Firth on November 12, 2020, marking the completion of OHT’s eight-month transportation campaign which also used its vessels MV Osprey and MV Albatross.

DEME Names Moray East Jacket Suppliers

Lamprell Completes Haven Rig Upgrade

Lamprell announced it has completed work to upgrade the mobile operating unit Haven as an accommodation service vessel for use offshore Norway. The unit has been delivered to Jacktel AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Master Marine AS, within budget and as scheduled.The contract for the Haven rig upgrade was awarded in September 2016 and involved procurement, construction and installation of extended legs and new suction caissons.

Construction Begins on Saudi Aramco's Shipyard Joint Venture

Construction work has begun on a joint venture to build a shipyard on Saudi Arabia's eastern coast, oil rig builder Lamprell Plc said in a statement on Friday. The joint venture, International Maritime Industries (IMI), started operations after reaching agreement for a loan from the state-backed Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), the statement said. The SIDF agreed in principle last year to provide 3.75 billion riyals ($1 billion) in financing for the project.

Lamprell Sees Full-year Revenue at Low End of Guidance

British oil rig builder Lamprell sees full-year revenue slipping to the bottom of its guidance range because of stagnant oil sector investment and losses at a windfarm project, it said on Wednesday, sending its shares sharply lower. The company said that total losses on its East Anglia One (EA1) offshore windfarm project would be about $80 million because of mounting costs for unplanned staffing and equipment requirements.

Lamprell's Revenue Falls 65 pct, Cuts FY Forecast

Oil rig builder Lamprell Plc reported a 64.7 percent fall in revenue in the first half of the year and cut its full-year forecast, hurt by lower activity levels across the industry. The company said it expected revenue for 2017 to be in the range of $370 million to $390 million, as it saw continuing low levels of walk-in work. Lamprell had forecast full-year revenue to be in the lower half of the $400 million-$500 million range in March.

Lamprell Delivers 9th Jackup Drill Rig to NDC

Lamprell announced the completion of construction of Al Lulu, the final jackup drilling rig in a series of nine delivered to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (NDC). The contract for the NDC Al Lulu rig was awarded in April 2015, one of only three rig orders awarded that year. All nine rigs have been designed according to the Cameron LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design and were completed to the highest standards of quality using the latest in drilling system technology, the builder said.

Lamprell Revenue Dips, Tightens Purse Strings

Oil-rig builder Lamprell Plc said it would continue to maintain a tight reign on costs as it stuck to its guidance of lower 2017 revenue. The company, which mainly focuses on contracts around the United Arab Emirates, said it expected 2017 revenue to be between $400-$500 million, with the current market pointing towards the lower half of the range. Lamprell also said it expected full-year 2016 revenue to be about $700 million, lower than the $871.1 million it reported in 2015.

Delivery of Seventh Drilling Unit to NDC

Lamprell (ticker: LAM), a provider of diversified engineering and contracting services to the energy industry, announced the completion of construction on the jackup drilling rig, Al Gharbia, and its delivery to Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Company (NDC). Completion and delivery of the jackup rig, on time and on budget, was marked at an inauguration ceremony held at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE on 22 December.

Oil rig maker Lamprell Plc said Chief Executive James Moffat would retire next June and that it had promoted Tony Wright to the role of chief financial officer with immediate effect. John Kennedy will take on the role of executive chairman until the next annual general meeting in 2016, the company said on Friday. U.A.E based offshore jackup rig builder Lamprell Energy Ltd., will implement SSI's EnterprisePlatform software solution to allow its engineering team to automate manufacturing processes.
