Wärtsilä, N-KOM Join Forces in Qatar

Wärtsila and Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited have entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together towards the common goal of improving business opportunities on repair and maintenance services for marine vessels, offshore and onshore structures in Qatar.

By combining the joint expertise of Wärtsilä and N-KOM, the companies strengthen their commitment to the continued growth and expansion of the State of Qatar’s maritime industry.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Chandru Rajwani, Chief Executive Officer of Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (N-KOM) and Mr. Seppo Hautajoki, Managing Director of Wärtsilä Doha LLC and Wärtsilä Gulf FZE (Dubai).

Mr. Chandru Rajwani said: "N-KOM is always on the lookout for long-term strategic alliances to further our business interests. Having Wärtsilä operate within our premises, offering in-demand marine services, such as main engine piston crown reconditioning and chrome plating, allows us to better respond to the needs of our customers as we strive towards becoming the preferred shipyard delivering solutions.”
