RPK Nord Deploys FSO Umba at Murmansk Port

On January 15, 2016, a 300,259DWT Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (FSO) Umba arrived at port Murmansk and was deployed by RPK Nord LLC in the middle part of the Kola Bay, within the water area of the Port of Murmansk, the agency company Infotech Baltika told IAA PortNews.
 
The tanker will be involved in export transshipment of Russia’s Arctic oil produced by Gazprom Neft at the Novoportovskoye field (Yamal) and at Prirazlomnoye field. 
 
The offshore terminal of RPK Nord is expected to handle some 1 mt of oil per year.
 
Umba was registered with Russian Maritime Register of Shipping on October 1, 2015. Place of registration – Murmansk. Vessel’s deadweight – 300,259 t, number of cargo tanks - 17.
