Finland's Stake in Neste Drops Below 50 pct

Posted by January 4, 2018

The Finnish government on Thursday donated shares in oil refiner and renewable diesel producer Neste to a Finnish foundation that promotes the wellbeing of children, effectively relinquishing its controlling position in the company.

The move, in which the state gave away shares worth around 50 million euros ($60 million), lowered the state's stake in Neste from 50.1 percent to 49.7 percent, the government said in a statement.
