Norway's Equinor strikes LPG Deal with Malaysia

Norwegian oil and gas firm Equinor has entered into a long-term agreement with Malaysia's Global Petro Storage for a terminal and storage for liquified petroleum gas (LPG) volumes in Port Klang, in South-East Asia.According to statement from the petroleum and wind energy company, GPS will build a new facility to execute this agreement with startup of operations planned for mid-2021. EnQuest: Kraken FPSO to Sail for North Seas

EnQuest PLC stated that following good progress on commissioning the water systems, the Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, Armada Kraken for the Kraken field development, is expected to sail away in the coming days, from deep water anchorage off the coast of Singapore, for the North Sea. The journey should complete around mid-January 2017. The Kraken development project remains on course to deliver first oil in H1 2017.

Trelleborg Signs Framework Agreement with Statoil

Trelleborg’s offshore operation in Norway, signed a framework agreement with Statoil for the supply of Elastopipe, corrosion protection, Passive Fire Protection (PFP) as well as Thermal Insulation (Vikotherm R2, S1 and P7). The framework agreement is signed for six years. Foreign Firms Bid for Saudi Aramco's Fadhili Gas Project

Foreign engineering firms have submitted bids to build a gas plant in eastern Saudi Arabia for state oil giant Saudi Aramco at an estimated cost of $5 billion to $6 billion, industry sources said. Aramco's decision to move ahead with the project at Fadhili is a sign that Saudi Arabia continues to make big investments that it views as key to its economic future, despite slowing or shelving some less vital projects as the plunge in oil prices since last year hurts state finances.

Montana Spill Closes Pipeline

A small but heavily subscribed pipeline that transports 42,000 barrels a day of crude oil from North Dakota's Bakken region is expected to remain closed on Tuesday after a weekend breach that spilled 1,200 barrels of crude into the Yellowstone River near Glendive, Montana. Bridger Pipeline LLC could not say how much of the light crude flowed into the river or when the pipeline will reopen. It was quickly shut after the leak was detected Saturday.

Soco to Begin Seismic Testing in Virunga Park

British oil company Soco International will start seismic tests this weekend in Democratic Republic of Congo's Lake Edward, an executive said on Wednesday, despite campaigners' attempts to block exploration in a world heritage site. Conservation group WWF has called on Soco to withdraw from its blocks in UNESCO-protected Virunga national park, saying oil exploration is incompatible with world heritage status and would damage the most bio-diverse park in Africa.
