Expansion Underway at Hydro Group
Aberdeen-based subsea cable and connector specialist Hydro Group, has expanded its premises by investing £2 million in a new 13,700 sq ft bespoke facility, set to open in spring 2016. DBR to Deliver Custom Gas Genset for Platform E17a-A
DBR Generatorsets is on course to complete construction of a gas engine driven generator set for GDF SUEZ E&P Nederland B.V. in time for installation on the E17a-A platform at the end of the year. Due to space restrictions on the existing platform, DBR is fabricating a custom engineered generator set. “We are using a modified design to deal with the lack of space on the platform,” said DBR Sales Manager Henri Hafkamp. At their in-house production facilities, DBR is engineering this generator set within a single instead of the usual double frame due to the limited space involved.
