First Steam-generation Unit Installed on Nuclear-powered Icebreaker Arktika

United Shipbuilding Corporation informed the installation of the first of the two steam generating unit (PHB), which is part of the reactor facility RITM-200. According to the company this first steam generating unit has been installed in the "Arctic" on September 2 and was loaded onto the parent nuclear icebreaker "Arktika" Project 22220. RITM-200 is a two-reactor plant designed by OKBM especially for the icebreaking fleet.

Gazprom Neft Completes First Shipment

Gazprom Neft completed the first offshore oil shipment from Novoportovskoe deposit on Yamal during the winter period. The first batch of 16 thousand tonnes of crude oil was shipped to European customers from the Yamal Peninsula on a tanker escorted by the nuclear powered icebreaker “Taimyr”. The oil of Novy Port grade will be delivered to Europe in early March. Icebreaking support for Gazprom Neft tankers along the Northern Sea Route is provided by Atomflot Company.
