Experts say that Russia is struggling to meet its LNG targets
Experts said that due to the international sanctions, Russia's LNG exports will probably not reach 67 million tons by 2030. This is far below its target of 100 million tons. Russia is focusing on developing LNG that can be transported by sea tankers as its gas exports from pipelines to Europe are down due to the conflict in Ukraine. It has also struggled to increase LNG to China. The company plans to increase its market share to the fifth position on the global LNG markets by 2030-2035.

Sources say that Russia's Novatek employs lobbyists in order to improve relations with the US.
Two sources familiar with the situation said that Novatek, Russia's largest producer of liquefied gas, is working with lobbyists to try and rebuild U.S. relationships after Washington imposed sanctions against its mammoth Arctic LNG 2 Project. After the 2022 invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the relationship between the United States and Russia reached a post Cold War low. President Joe Biden’s administration imposed sanctions on hundreds entities and individuals who supported the war effort. Novatek's Arctic LNG 2 was to be the largest LNG plant in Russia.

TotalEnergies CEO: Up to $2 billion in Russia still stuck
Patrick Pouyanne, CEO of TotalEnergies, told analysts that the French oil giant's stakes in Russian gas company Novatek and its Yamal LNG project in Russia generate between $1.5 and $2 billion annually in dividends. Pouyanne stated that although the company was able to move some money out of Russia in the early stages of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, "today there is little or nothing coming" because of the Western sanctions against Moscow. TotalEnergies has 19.4% ownership of Novatek.
Kpler reports that four tankers are still at sea, with cargoes not sold with Arctic LNG 2.
According to ship tracking agency Kpler data, four tankers carrying Russian Arctic LNG 2 are still at sea. This highlights the difficulties of the U.S. sanctioned project for the sale of seaborne gas. The agency reported that on Monday, the tankers were seen crossing the seas without indicating a destination. This is because the market still anticipates a possible delivery to a customer. According to Kpler, tankers carrying LNG make up 40% of the so-called dark fleet of 10 Russian LNG-ferrying ships identified by the agency. These vessels have been sanctioned in the West.

Rebooting What’s Possible in India’s Gas Market

‘To lose patience is to lose the battle’ -Mahatma GandhiIndia is something of a conundrum for global LNG players. I recently returned from a week in Delhi, just as the capital was making headlines for one of the worst episodes of air pollution, while the country’s energy mix remains dominated by cheap domestic coal. At the same time, gas price sensitivity continues to stymie investment and contracting negotiations. Progress has been made with LNG import terminals but delays to pipeline infrastructure and convoluted gas allocation policies frustrate demand growth.
