Nord Stream's Last Pipe Leaves Sweden Port
The last Nord Stream 2 pipe stored within the premises of the port of Karlshamn left the storage area. The Opal pipeline is running at full capacity now, Russia's Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said on Wednesday. "Running this (pipeline) at its full capacity is an objective market necessity for our European customers," Gazprom's press service cited Miller as saying in a statement. The Opal pipeline carries Russian gas from the Nord Stream pipeline in northern Germany to German and Czech customers in the south.
Sweden Won't Block Nord Stream Harbor Deals
Sweden's government said on Tuesday it would not stop two municipalities from leasing two harbours to Russia's Gazprom to facilitate the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, despite concerns about security.
