Beware of Egypt's smokestack reshoring as Cement Exports Soar: Maguire

North Africa's second largest natural gas producer and its largest economy have increased the production and exports of several energy-intensive commodities in an effort to boost the growth of their industrial sector. Egypt's exports of chemicals, fertilizers, and cement doubled from 2022 to 2024. They have also grown by 350% in the last year thanks to government initiatives aimed at promoting rapid industrial growth.

Gazprom subsidiary claims $880 million against Linde

Court documents revealed on Wednesday that a subsidiary of Russia’s gas giant Gazprom filed a claim against Linde, claiming 879 million dollars. The Amur Gas Processing Plant, a subsidiary of Gazprom, filed the complaint on October 29 at the Arbitration Court in Amur Region in Russia's East. Linde has left Russia, and the Power of Siberia Pipeline plant that facilitates Russian gas to China exports, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in February 2022.

Williams Inks Deal for Whale Deepwater Transport Services

Subtropical Storm Alberto's Landfall Expected Early Next Week

U.S. Gulf of Mexico producers and refiners are monitoring Subtropical storm Alberto, which is expected to make landfall between east Louisiana and the Florida panhandle early next week, the companies said on Friday. The National Weather Service on Friday predicted the storm would bring heavy rain to the central Gulf Coast region and the southeastern United States later this weekend and continue into early next week.

Exxon Assessing Earthquake Damage to New Guinea NatGas Plant

LNG export project knocked out by major quake in late Feb. A senior Exxon Mobil Corp executive said on Wednesday the company is still assessing damage to its natural gas processing plant in the mountains of Papua New Guinea, knocked out by a strong earthquake last month. A powerful 7.5 magnitude quake struck near Exxon's Hides facility on Feb. 25, killing dozens of people and halting production at the site.

Enterprise Shuts Shoup Gas Plant in Corpus Christi Due to Harvey

Canada's AltaGas to Jointly Build Natgas Processing Plant

Energy infrastructure company AltaGas Ltd said it would jointly build a natural gas processing plant and a natural gas liquids separation train with a privately held producer in the Montney shale play in western Canada. Woodfibre LNG to Build Canada Project in 2017

Woodfibre LNG will start building British Columbia's first liquefied natural gas processing and export terminal in 2017, after its parent company authorized the funds necessary for the project to proceed, Woodfibre said on Friday.   The facility near Squamish, British Columbia, will export 2.1 million tonnes a year once it is operational in 2020. Norway Oil & Gas Workers May Strike

Workers at three onshore plants serving Norway's oil and gas industry will strike from Oct. 7 unless they get a new wage deal, the SAFE labour union said on Monday, potentially threatening Britain's natural gas supplies. Some 338 workers at Statoil's Melkoeya LNG plant, Shell's Nyhamna natural gas processing plant and ExxonMobil's Slagen refinery terminal would go on strike if talks on a new pay deal break down, the union said.

Enterprise to Export First Ethane Cargo from Houston Terminal in August

Enterprise Products Partners on Thursday said the first ship to load ethane for export from its new terminal on the Houston Ship Channel will arrive on Aug. 1, the first such export of the light natural gas liquid from the U.S. Gulf Coast. Exports from the terminal are expected to ramp up to 1.9 million barrels per month by the end of the year, executives said on Thursday during the company's second quarter earnings call.

Seven Generations to Buy Some Deep Basin Assets from Paramount

Canadian natural gas developer Seven Generations Energy Ltd said it would buy some of Paramount Resources Ltd's Deep Basin oil and gas properties in west Central Alberta for about C$1.9 billion ($1.47 billion), including debt. Paramount said it would receive C$475 million in cash and 33.5 million class A common shares of Seven Generations. Seven Generations will also assume Paramount's senior unsecured notes worth about C$584 million due 2023.
