GTT's Mark Technology for SHI's LNG Carrier

GTT has received an order from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) to equip a new LNGC (Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier) with Mark technology. The vessel will be built at SHI’s shipyard in Goeje Island for a European ship-owner. Delivery is scheduled in 2019. SHI should apply to this LNGC the latest GTT technology, Mark V, which offers an unrivalled thermal efficiency. With Mark V, GTT has created a real breakthrough by reducing the guaranteed daily boil-off rate to 0.07% of the tank volume.

RINA Group Widens Gas Sector Services

International classification, certification and engineering group RINA said it has widened its services to the global gas industry. MHI Completes Development of "Sayaringo STaGE"

Gazprom, Sovcomflot Expand LNG Transport Cooperation

Gazprom and Sovcomflot named the new state-of-the-art 170,000m³ liquefied natural gas carrier (LNGC) Pskov, after one of the oldest Russian cities. The ship will be chartered to Gazprom Global LNG (GGLNG) under a long-term contract. The LNGC Pskov is the second vessel in a series of high-specification, ice class Atlanticmax LNG carriers that have been specially designed in accordance with Gazprom’s requirements, and will support Gazprom’s global commercial operations in the gas markets.

Dynagas LNG Completes Acquisition of Arctic Aurora

MHI Receives First Order through MI LNG

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has received an order for an LNG (liquefied natural gas) carrier for Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line) through MI LNG Co., Ltd., a joint venture established with Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in April 2013. The order - the first received via MI LNG - is the eighth to date for the Sayaendo, a next-generation LNG carrier offering superior fuel efficiency developed independently by MHI. Completion and delivery of the ship are scheduled for 2017.

Dynagas LNG Buys Ice-class LNG Carrier

Dynagas LNG Partners LP announced it has entered into an agreement to purchase from Dynagas Holding Ltd., the Partnership's sponsor, 100% of the ownership interests in the entity that owns and operates the Arctic Aurora, a 2013 built ice class liquefied natural gas carrier, for an aggregate purchase price of $235 million. The Arctic Aurora acquisition is subject to the Partnership obtaining the funds necessary to pay the purchase price and the satisfaction of certain closing conditions.
