FSO Installed in Culzean Field

Last week the Ailsa Floating Storage and Offloading unit (FSO) was successfully hooked up and completed, the final step of the FSO transportation and installation for the Culzean field, under the project management of Maersk Supply Service.The project has been delivered to Total E&P UK as an integrated solution, including project management, engineering, procurement and execution of offshore work scopes.

L.A.T.C Marine to Install Two Ampelmann Systems

Ampelmann has secured two contracts with vessel owner L.A.T.C Marine Limited, on behalf of ExxonMobil, for the supply of two L-type gangway systems, offshore Nigeria. Following successful sea trials of the L-type gangway system, the integrated solution was approved for operations. Vessel owner L.A.T.C Marine has installed the personnel transfer system on its Damen FCS-5009 Fast Crew Supplier vessel Dijama for in field operations with ExxonMobil.

ECO Affiliates Ink 5-Year Deal with Shell for IMR Vessel

Two affiliates of Louisiana-based Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) have signed a five-year contract with Shell Brazil for light subsea construction, and inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) services from the M/V Island Enforcer, a 402-ft. subsea installation and construction vessel. According to ECO, the agreement includes a varied list of projects featuring vessel services from ECO affiliate Bram Offshore, and ROV and survey services from C-Innovation.

BP Awards Gulf of Mexico Work to Subsea 7

Subsea 7 said it was awarded a contract by BP as part of the deepwater Mad Dog 2 development, located approximately 190 miles south of New Orleans. Boskalis JV bags Attero bottom ash processing contract

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) announces, together with Inashco, that it will process all bottom ash produced by Attero for a period of ten years. The contract was awarded to ACCN (Ash Cleaning Company Netherlands), a joint venture between Boskalis Environmental and Inashco. The total value of the contract will be in excess of EUR 100 million over the ten-year period and is partly dependent on the market prices of the recovered metals.

Sembcorp Marine, ENGIE Ink Gravifloat Technology Deal

Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters Pte. Ltd., and Paris-based ENGIE have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in the development and deployment of Sembcorp Marine’s proprietary Gravifloat technology for LNG-to-Power near-shore terminals, focusing on small LNG power businesses with 10 MW to 300 MW capacities. Gravifloat solutions are steel-based modularised and floatable structures fixed to the seabed at site.

Wärtsilä Wins Jack-up Barges Contract

Two new jack-up barges ordered by the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), based in the United Arab Emirates, will feature fully integrated Wärtsilä power generation and electrical and automation (E&A) solutions. The SEP 650 and SEP 750 vessels are being built at the Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) shipyard in Chang Xing Island, China. The contract with Wärtsilä was signed in December 2014.

Royal IHC Merges Four Units into IHC IQIP

Royal IHC (IHC) has integrated four of its business units – IHC Hydrohammer, IHC Handling Systems, IHC Sea Steel and IHC Fundex Equipment – into one new organization, which will operate under the name IHC IQIP. IHC said the merger aims to offer a fully integrated solution for on- and offshore installation, foundation and decommissioning to customers in the oil and gas, offshore wind and coastal and civil markets.

CWind Secures Another Contract in Germany

CWind has secured its third temporary power supply project in German waters. CWind is providing an integrated solution that includes the project management, rental of generators, the servicing, maintenance and refueling as well as the specialist workboat required at Borkum Riffgrund Offshore Wind Farm, which is in the final stages of construction. In December 2014, CWind responded to an urgent customer need and mobilized a team on site in less than two weeks.
