EthosEnergy has been awarded a contract worth approximately $7.2m by Capex S.A. for the overhaul of Agua del Cajon’s MHI 701 Gas Turbine, including the provision of a new Compressor and Turbine Rotor.

Capex, a subsidiary of Buenos Aires-based Capsa Group, is a long standing customer of EthosEnergy with an extensive history of service success.

The contract is for an integrated solution including new rotor, new blades, new diaphragms, IGVs, repaired blades, new ring segments and blade ring, and shipping canister.

Federico Kitzberger of Capsa Group said, “By focusing on the required enhancements they designed a solution that will improve equipment performance and reliability, while reducing the outage period of this engine by months.”

“By partnering with Capsa, EthosEnergy has developed a comprehensive knowledge of their equipment. Through open communication of the specific project requirements this has allowed us to craft a value-add solution to reduce the outage time and extend the useful life of the engine,” said Mark Dobler, CEO of EthosEnergy.
