Gazprom Facing Hurdles in Russia's Gasification Process

Russia's regional administrations' failure to perform their obligations to prepare consumers for receiving gas and a growing consumer debt for gas delivered that remains a drag on the rate of gasification in Russia. This was highlighted at the Press Conference held at the Gazprom headquarters today. Gazprom and KAMAZ have their focus on the market expansion for gas as a vehicle fuel. The companies have been coordinating their efforts in converting vehicles to run on compressed natural gas and in promoting NGV warranty and maintenance service arrangements. Russian Gas Supply to Italy Increasing

At a meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Claudio Descalzi, Chief Executive Officer of Eni, issues regarding Russian gas exports to Italy were discussed. It was noted during the meeting held at Gazprom headquarters that Italy was Europe's third-largest Russian gas consumer in 2015 and the consumption was on the rise. Preliminary estimates indicate that in 2015 the gas exports to Europe totaled about 24.4 billion cubic meters showing a 12.6 per cent increase versus 2014.

Russian Gas Supply to Serbia Up 23.6%

Russian gas deliveries to Serbia grew by 23.6 per cent to 1.7 billion cubic meters according to preliminary figures for 2015. The possibility of Russian LNG supplies to Pakistan and Gazprom’s participation in hydrocarbon exploration and production projects in the Republic were issues that were discussed between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
