Gazprom Mulls Cooperation with Linde, Daelim Industrial
A series of meetings were hosted yesterday at the Gazprom headquarters between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Wolfgang Buechele, CEO of Linde as well as Chul-Kyoon Lee, President of Daelim Industrial.
The three leaders considered issues of cooperation among Gazprom, Linde and Daelim Industrial, inter alia, within the Amur GPP project. According to sources the Amur GPP Project when it materializes will be the biggest plant in Russia and one of the biggest ones in the world.
The Amur GPP with the design capacity of up to 49 billion cubic meters of gas a year will be constructed near Svobodny in the Amur Region. The GPP will comprise the world’s largest helium plant. The plant will be supplied via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline with multi-component gas from the Yakutia and Irkutsk gas production centers being set up by Gazprom within the Eastern Gas Program.
Linde is likely to play a prominent role as it is a global major focused on industrial technologies for gas treatment and gas separation with ethane, propane and heavier fractions stripping. In addition, the company designs and builds cryogenic plants for gas and helium liquefaction.
Daelim Industrial is a leading engineering company of Asia and the Middle East, engaged in design and construction of gas & oil processing, petrochemical, power and industrial facilities.
