Whether a simple wear plate or machined into a complex, multi-faceted shape, many projects call for a material of substantial thickness. Vesconite and Vesconite Hilube plate stock is now available in sizes up to 4" thick. The plates are available up to 8" wide and 10' long. Because stock can be ordered close-to-size, machining time and costs are reduced. Vesconite and Vesconite Hilube are self-lubricating and have no stick-slip, so grease is unneeded.
Michigan Fires Contractor Doing Enbridge Pipeline Risk Analysis
The U.S. State of Michigan said on Wednesday it has fired a consultant after state officials discovered a conflict of interest with an employee of the company conducting an independent analysis on the risks of an oil spill from Calgary-based Enbridge Inc's Line 5 pipeline in the Great Lakes. The company, Det Norske Veritas Inc, was to produce a risk analysis by the end of June on Enbridge's 540,000 barrel per day Line 5 pipeline, which travels underwater through the Straits of Mackinac.

The project award follows a successful feasibility study carried out by 2H Offshore, which outlined multiple integrated concepts for the system. 2H’s scope of work now includes the development and delivery of MPD riser stack equipment for the next two generations of Weatherford’s MPD systems for offshore applications.
