World Bank: Bosnia must invest $6.8 billion to combat climate change impacts
Bosnia and Herzegovina faces risks of flooding, wildfires, and severe air pollution. A World Bank report released on Wednesday said that the country needs to invest 6,8 billion dollars over the next 10 years to offset the effects of climate change. The report stated that climate-related damages, including floods, could shrink Bosnia’s economy by as much as 14% by the year 2050. It also stressed the importance of nature-based solutions, such as the restoration of floodplains and the preservation and protection peatlands, to increase resilience and boost economic growth.
EU Energy Watchdog Sanctions Bosnia over Non-compliance with Rules

Russian Gas Supply to Serbia Up 23.6%
Russian gas deliveries to Serbia grew by 23.6 per cent to 1.7 billion cubic meters according to preliminary figures for 2015. Banatski Dvor Facility Assures Gas Supplies
Gazprom has almost fully replenished the Banatski Dvor UGS facility. The facility's working gas volume currently makes up 450 million cubic meters. Earthquake Kills Five Bosnian Coal Miners
Five Bosnian miners were confirmed dead on Friday, a day after an earthquake triggered a collapse at the Raspotocje mine, as emergency teams helped 29 others to the surface. The manager of the mine, Esad Civic, said a total of 34 miners had been trapped 500 metres (1,600 feet) below ground by Thursday's rock burst. "The mining accident in the Raspotocje pit is a huge tragedy for all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We lost five lives, unfortunately," Nermin Niksic, the prime minister of Bosnia's autonomous Bosniak-Croat federation, told the Fena news agency.
Gazprom Tightening Links with Bosnia & Herzegovina
