Banatski Dvor Facility Assures Gas Supplies

Gazprom has almost fully replenished the Banatski Dvor UGS facility. The facility's working gas volume currently makes up 450 million cubic meters. This was highlighted in the working meeting took place today between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Dusan Bajatovic, Director General of state-owned Srbijagas. The meeting is part of the 4th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

During the meeting the parties addressed the bilateral cooperation in the gas sector, placing an emphasis on Russian gas supplies to Serbia as well as the use of Serbian underground reservoirs to store natural gas in the country. Banatski Dvor will provide an extra resource for supplying Serbian consumers with Russian gas as well as enhance the reliability of Russian gas export to Serbia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming winter.

Moreover, the meeting participants looked at the status of the South Stream joint infrastructure project which is currently awaiting permits for the construction of the Serbian section.
