Posted by August 24, 2016

French state-controlled utility EDF and the French government have agreed on a compensation package for the closure of EDF's Fessenheim nuclear plant, an energy ministry spokesperson told AFP on Wednesday.

AFP reported that EDF would be repaid in stages, with a first payment of 100 million euros and further payments later depending on several parameters, including energy prices, in the years following closure of the plant.
