Posted by September 29, 2015

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems (VWS.F) said on Tuesday it had received a 126 megawatt turbine order from a project in Thailand.

The order from Had Kanghan Wind Farm project is for 70 units of the V110-1.8 MW turbine, including delivery, installation, commissioning and a five-year service agreement, Vestas said in a stock exchange announcement.

Installation of the first turbines was expected to start and to be completed in 2016.

For Vestas in general, wind turbine orders generate revenue of around 0.86 million euros per megawatt, on average.

Orders valued above 500 million Danish crowns ($75 million) are disclosed as stock exchange announcements, while smaller ones are published as press releases on its website.
