Czech, Slovak Gas Pipeline Operators to Auction Capacity

Posted by July 9, 2015

The Czech and Slovak gas pipeline operators plan to offer 10 percent of available transmission capacity between the two countries in monthly auctions, they said on Thursday.

A pilot auction will be held next month for September capacity, as a trial, before a decision is made on whether to press ahead with the scheme.

Czech system operator Net4Gas and its Slovak counterpart Eustream said the auctions of monthly bundled transmission capacity would be for the physical flow of gas in both directions at the Lanzhot border point.

The reserve price will be set by the two pipeline operators, they said in a statement.
