Claxton Engineering Services, an Acteon company, has been awarded a contract with Statoil (STO) to supply conductor and internal centralizers to a minimum of 14 wells on the Norway's offshore Gina Krog development. The contract was finalized in December 2014, and first delivery is scheduled for March 2015.

Claxton is responsible for the design, fabrication, testing and installation of the units.

“Winning this order reinforces our position as the premier supplier of centralizers in the North Sea," said Vegard Dale, Claxton's business development manager.

Conductor centralizers form the interface between the platform jacket and well conductor, assuring integrity over the working life of the conductor.

Gina Krog is located 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) northwest of Sleipner and was discovered in 1974. It was named after the famous Norwegian feminist and women's rights pioneer.

Working out of bases in the UK, Norway, Singapore and Dubai, Claxton has provided engineering across the life of field for three decades with a focus on drilling risers, offshore decommissioning and subsea structures.
