- Laborer
- I started my career as fitter cum welder In Singapore when I finished my school at Yangon University, majoring in history. I always want to work on ships. But I never have a chance. So I went to Singapore as a general worker and later I was allowed to work as pipe fitter helper. Finally I was allowed to work as a pipe fitter cum welder. My salary in Singapore was very low Just USD400 per month. I know I am a good fitter as well as welder. But I could not show my certificates which were taken away by my employer, because they afraid that I might join other ship repair companies. I worked In Singapore for more than four years. I have seen many sailors who get more money than me. So I decided to join ship where I can show my skills. I attended basic training courses which is compulsory for fresher like me who want to work on ships. I am very willing to work as a trainee wiper if there is no job for me. From there I will try my best to become an oiler in a very short period of time. I promise that you will not regret it. Because I am determined to take fourth engineer examination within three or four years; this is my dream.
