Project Manager
Manager of capital and operations projects. Manage projects from pre-feasibility through commissioning. Responsible for developing scope of work, detailed project charter and budget for engineering projects typically less than 10M. After approval, responsible for project performance and contractor management. Responsible for management of Plant engineering support, the sites design team, Project Coordinators and document control system. Boron Operations employs 800 full time employees and 400 contractors. It is the largest open pit mine in California and the second largest borates producer in the world.
Headwaters Plant Services, Inc. Marissa, IL 2009 – 2011
Site Manager
Manage all aspects of a 4 million ton/yr Coal Combustion Waste facility. Included development and construction. Project required excavation and placement of more than 5.5M yd of earth in the construction of the ash fill area. Responsible for site budget, P&L, staffing and resource management. Project budgeted at $35M in development and construction. Operation revenues estimated at $12M/yr. Operation will be the largest CCW facility in the country. Charah, Inc. Louisville, KY 2003 – 2009
General Manager
Project management of $7.5M dry fly ash collection, transport, storage and load-out system. Project included installation of a 1 mile access road and water main. Negotiated and implemented $1.5M in change request throughout the project. (Progress Energy Carolinas Hartsville, SC)
Project management of $6.5M concrete dry-mix packaging facility, aggregate processing plant and 250K/yd structural fill. The packaging facility produces 2M units/yr. The process is an industry first plastic bag with handles and introduced a concrete mix with an ash aggregate. The project was delivered in 8 months, on time and on budget. (Ameren UE Labadie, MO)
Managed a coal gasification ash beneficiation facility. Responsible for all division activities including P&L. Customer interface was in need of major repair. Within 6mo, had acquired additional contract work and attended customer morning meetings. Division produced 135% of budgeted goals and was most profitable of Charah’s 7 divisions. (Tampa Electric Co. Doe Run Company Boss, MO 2002
Shift Foreman
Responsible for production, storage and shipping of lead, zinc and copper concentrates. Included management of production staff. Performed a time study on the zinc filtration process resulting in a 40% increase in process efficiency.
Pea Ridge Iron Ore Co., Inc. Sullivan, MO 1992 – 2001
Plant Superintendent
Responsible for all surface plant production. Plant produced 350K ton/yr of magnetite and hematite concentrates. Achieved a 5% reduction in production cost through reduction in overtime and cross functional responsibilities. Managed all production staff.

Led $3M plant expansion of a magnetite calcining process. Project was developed due to old process inefficiencies. Developed material balance, and process flow. Managed construction, equipment selection, installation and start-up. Project was completed on time and on budget.
