My prior work experience includes working as a Port Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor with HMS Ferries, Inc., New York. My responsibilities involved the coordination, supervision, and document maintenance and repair functions, on the operating fleet, to minimize loss of revenue and cost of repairs. Top priorities included the thumb rule of performing all tasks and being a strong advocate of safety first and considering the reliability and efficiency with regards to company operations. My goal was to ensure that the fleet was in a COI-inspection ready at all times and thus enabled me to understand and comply with USCG rules and regulations. Due to this, I have received consistent commendations for achieving gains in productivity, safety and efficiency in managing the operations department.

My sailing experience with NYK Ship Management Pvt. Ltd included a Crude Oil Carrier (VLCC), Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (LNG) and a Car Carrier. Having worked on different classifications of Marine Diesel Engines and propulsion (Steam Turbine and Motor) enabled me to add a practical experience to my theoretical understanding of the Marine Industry in both the Oil and Gas Industry and has increased my confidence in this field and helped me familiarize with a variety of safety, environmental and process related issues. 
Also, my command over communication, man management and team coordination skills has prospered through the experiences.
