I am an accomplished Corrosion Control Engineer consistently and effectively executing corrosion control to the oil and gas industry in the corrosion maintenance of facilities and plants. Task & Achievement:
- Assigned by Multinational Expertise Limited to SPDC as to supervise all maintenance painting / scaffolding projects for SPDC’s bonny tank farm and onshore/offshore facilities (KCA/KCB and BCLP).
- Instigated new coating applications for SPDC (East) Onshore/Offshore facilities such as flow stations, pipelines and manifolds.
- Provision of static equipment maintenance support service to SPDC (East)’s production department involving relief valves / process valves change out, statutory inspection on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, re-boilers and heaters, and minor mechanical structural repairs for on-shore / off-shore facilities.
- Team member for the decommissioning of crude oil production flow stations and its preservation of the idle static equipment.
- Ensured enforcement of health, safety and environment (HSE) policies, and maintenance and operation procedures/standards in the field by contractors in line with SPDC’s HSE policy. Developed, reviewed and evaluated contractors’ competencies to do their work safely and without adverse impact on the environment.
- Preparation of project execution plan (PEP) of Maintenances painting contracts.
- Ensured the desired level of quality of work and materials are delivered on schedule time as per specifications.
- Instigated painting systems and developed projection execution plans involving cost estimation, strategy and schedule for painting/insulation, painting procedures, work scopes and tender bid for the painting projects of all SPDC Oil and gas (Upstream, midstream & down stream, transportation and storage).
- Reviewed the Quality documentation of subcontractors, carried out audits on subcontractor, carried prequalification of subcontractors, reviewed and approved Inspection and test plans of subcontractors, reviewed and approved subcontractors Welding Procedures, Insulation Procedures, Fire Proofing Procedures, Material Control Procedures, Visual Weld Inspection Procedures, Heat Treatment Procedures and ensured that they were in conformance with the applicable client specification/ codes/ standards.
- Supervised more than 10 Quality Control Inspectors (Piping, Welding, Instrumentation, Structural etc.), reviewed subcontractor inspection reports, reviewed welder qualification, monitored weld and welder repair rates, reviewed weld radiographs, participated in the weekly quality meeting, weekly meetings with subcontractors, subcontractors kick off meetings, issued corrective action reports and ensured that they are closed in a timely manner etc.
- Achieved the painting completion of ten (10) Crude oil Production flow station and four (4) Above ground crude oil storage tanks.

- Painting inspection of Painting program of Bonny terminal crude oil storage tanks farm rehabilitation.
- Inspection of Maintenance Painting program of 26 SPDC’s onshore flow stations.
- Inspection of Maintenance Painting program of 10 SPDC’s swamp crude oil pipeline Tie-in/junction manifolds.
- Quality assurance inspection (visual, NDT and DT) involving the maintenance painting programme of SPDC’s crude oil production facilities (flow stations, manifolds and well heads) using different painting systems and blasting abrasive medium in line with NACE, BS, DEP, SSPC or ISO standards.

- Structural inspection and painting refurbishment of over 150 Petroleum Gas Wellheads using epoxy coating system applied on the topside and splash area.
- Supervised installation of cathodic protection system anodes and maintenance of Transformer rectifier.

- Turn around maintenance of 4Nos. Gas production plants (Alakiri, Afam, and Obigbo & Oguta) for SPDC.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE:
Good knowledge and experience with the international codes and standards and practices of major oil and gas operator such as NACE, API, ASME, AWS, ISO, ASTM, Shell DEPs specifications.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Familiar with use of PC (MS Office, Email, Internet etc.), PACER (computer aided maintenance management tool), Corrosion Models (Shell Hydrocor) and pipeline toolbox.
