In my present place of work, I serve in the capacity of an oiler, assist during maintenance, fabrication and other maintenance processes.
I am part of the dynamic team of safety personnels saddled with the responsibilities of responding in the event of fire, rescue, oil spill, and mooring and unmooring of the vessel among others. I have sailed for months on several steam ships, Lng Adamawa, Lng Cross River, Lng Akwa-Ibom, Lng Edo, Lng River Niger.

After obtaining my training from Marine Cargo, based on my productive service rendered previously in Obiye Academy, I was re-employed in Obiye Academy where I served for another three years as a subject teacher.

I am undergoing training as surveyor. I survey the loading/offloading of Marine Cargo onto/off barges for Premier Logistics Solutions, Nigeria (Formerly Panalpina World Transport, Nigeria Ltd).
I also did annual condition survey/inspection (visual) at different rig sites for our client as a third party company. I carry out inspections on land, swamps and offshore rig and it's associated equipment/facilities for the following companies KcaDeutag- (RigT-41, 57, 43, 209, 103, 26, and 76) BOGEL- (Durga 1 & 2) NRG Drilling Company -(Rig 101 & 201), ,HENAN -( ZPEB Rig120, 129, 119 and 120) Lonestar Drilling, (, Agbon-1, Rig , 201, 205, Delta III and Delta IV), Oando -(Constitution-Integrity, Searex 12, Rig 1 and 2) etc. I do all these at different location Viz Snake and Kidney Island, in Lagos State, Eket, Oron, Uyo (in Akwa -Ibom State), Ugehelli and kwale (in Delta State), Soku, Ahoada Oshie field and Afam (in Rivers State), Usan field for Seadrill- (West Capella) and in Akpo field for GSF Transocean -(Jack Ryan) etc. Using laid down standard, both local and international applicable standards for the mechanical, oil and gas and general safety.
All of the jobs I do here are safety-based operations. At such, I undergo and continue to update myself with safety approaches to the ever growing technology, to be in tune with the applicable standard of operations in the oil and gas industries. These standard organization include ASME, API, NACE, ANSI, and MOSR (DPR).
