Learned how to maintain safety in a potentially dangerous environment through communication skills and taking necessary precautions. Obtained essential watch standing skills as well as practical experience which continuously proves beneficial in future careers.

Participated as management within corporate head office writing SMS procedures for the environmental department. Projects consisted in the development of new policies including a rollout plan visiting several of the vessels within the fleet to train all crew members in the new environmental company procedures. Follow up vessel evaluation reports completed for each vessel and submitted to head office to ensure each were in compliance with SMS and all other regulations.
FIRST OFFICER ENVIRONMENTAL, PRESTIGE CRUISE HOLDINGS (RSSC & OCI) Jul 12- Dec 14
Maintained senior deck officer position onboard mid-size luxury cruise ships for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania Cruises. In addition to handling day to day deck officer duties such as, mooring operations, some chart work, occasional watch standing and the usual assistance in navigation, responsible for managing all environmentally altering operations. Some of these include waste management, chemical management, and continuous monitoring of regulations to ensure vessel remains in compliance with all local, state or global requirements. Maintained healthy and efficient relationships with several separate departments and department heads while on board during normal operation.

Responsible for all deckhand duties as well as tankerman and mate training for company policy. Worked aboard ATB Adriatic sea as well as towing vessel El Lobo Grande II.
FIRST OFFICER, OPUS CASINO CRUISE LINES Mar 11- Aug 11
In charge of deckhands daily tasks, as well as ship handling, navigation and radio communication on a converted supply vessel. Participated and controlled docking and undocking of vessel in tight berth, as well as transiting a limited channel to and from sea. Personal relations with numerous passengers daily. Transportation of same vessel on coastwise voyage from New York to Florida during Aug 2011.
MATE, ISMAS FLORIDA Mar 10- Dec 10/ Mar 12-Apr 12
Hired as AB and progressed to Mate position. Responsible for all duties of an Able Bodied Seaman, followed by Mate duties, aboard the Ocean Going Tug Betty S. Duties included line handling, watch-standing, chart corrections, vessel handling, common maintenance of entire vessel, as well as towing operations.
COASTWISE THIRD MATE, MAERSK LIMITED Mar 10- Mar 10
Stood the navigational watch of 0400-0800/1600-2000 in place of the C/M aboard the M/V Maersk Ohio during a coastwise voyage. Responsible for all actions presented for an Officer of the watch aboard container vessels including pre-departure, pre-arrival, and mooring procedures.
