Vessel Operations

The Marine & Operation manager reports to the Vice President Operation & Vice President Commercial and is in charge of:-

  • To in charge of four vessels & Barges locates at UAE , three vessels in Abu Dhabi charter by ESNAAD & End User ADMA
  • One Accommodation work Barges 300 pax at Ajman UAE
  • To liaise with clients/charterers in matters pertaining to vessel operations
  • To coordinate with marketing department with regards to vessel suitability, availability, charter parties and other contractual obligations.
  • To coordinate with the Technical Manager on vessel technical matters.
  • Divisional and vessel Budgeting.
  • Assist Marketing on Commercial and Contractual & Oversee Management of all Regional operations
  • Customer Relations and Company promotion.
  • Chartering Issues.
  • Monitoring/Appointment overseas Agents.
  • Monitor and ensure the deployment of appropriate Sea Staff by Op’s Supts to the appropriate vessel.
  • To assign appropriate op’s supt to new build and new charter mobilizations.

 Involve in day-to-day operational and correspondence activities on ownership & ship management function

  • To continually review and amend operational procedures for vessels within the SEMM for further improvement and in accordance with the offshore industry.
  • Execute Charter Parties requirements where vessels are under Charter and control of vessels in between Charter, including positioning and laid-up voyages.
  • Maintain and implement the ISM, ISO 14001 and Charterers and Ports requirements across the fleet in conjunction with the Fleet Safety Dept and Technical Dept.
  • Define and approve necessary training for shore and sea staff, including in-house training and external recognized short courses, to satisfy these requirements.
  • Assist in the identification of safety risk assessment and environmental aspects / impacts for vessel operations
  • Designate Senior Operations Superintendent, Operations Superintendents and Administrative Operations Assistant their specific roles.
  • Appoint Incident Investigators (as part of the Board of Inquiry team) among the Ops Supts when required.
  • Participate as one of the SEMM Management review team. member of the Shore Emergency Response Team,
  • Assign Snr Ops Supt and Ops Supt to their specific tasks and vessels they are in charge of Plan, organize and assign Ops Supt to the 6-monthly Vessel Inspection Audit.
  • To randomly cross audit vessel inspection audits conducted by ops sups.
  • Issue Circulars to the fleet in Operations matters. To vet and approve circulars prior to circulation if drafted by Operations Superintendent.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal and other requirements by all vessels and raise corrective action when necessary.
  • Supervise joint operation with Vessel’s Master on board vessel for Rig Move during ENSCO submersible rig tow from Batam to Balikpapan. And next from Rig location off Java Sea to Singapore and to Bintan.
