I would like to apply for the advertised post of Enginee. I am a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with two bachelors and a specialization in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Petroleum Engineering of which I am looking to begin and forward my career within the engineering field in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA area. I have been employed as an Automotive Mechanic Technician making repairs and providing preventative maintenance on various vehicles during my tenure in the engineering program. I have extensive knowledge and understanding of how engines of all kinds perform and operate. I also have been an intern to a local petroleum company where I learned various skills in the field learning the process of extracting natural fuels, transportation, manufacturing, managing and the safety required to perform the job successfully. We were also required to understand entirely the statics and mechanics of each structures load used throughout the process including roadway systems, bridges, various pipelines and the drainage and fluid mechanics associated. This position has provided me with the skills involved in different concentrations of engineering such as chemical, civil and mechanical. I firmly believe that my knowledge and experience gained in the field as well as within the classroom as a Chemical Engineer will add value to this position and ultimately your organization. I am planning on completing the EIT examination during the next scheduled examination dates. I would appreciate the opportunity to join an esteemed and reputable firm.
As an Engineer, I strongly believe that our education beyond the classroom will never stop. I have an extreme passion for this career and I have worked hard to get where I am today. Within my course work and experience I have practiced many different aspects within the engineering field. My year long tenure as an intern for a drilling company has shown me how I am capable of pushing my limits and continuing to perform my job at all times during the long cold hours. At this position, I expect to forward my career by learning different engineering professions, during the job rotations, and I believe that this position will increase my knowledge and passion for engineering
