Corporate / Senior Management
I am writing to express interest in a position that suit my resume and in the senior management of an organisation. I am currently a Visiting Professor at Indian Maritime University. Prior to this, I have been Professor at AMET (Academy of Maritime Education and Training) University in Madras, India. This University performs Government, University and Industry funded research in Marine Renewable Energy resources. Additionally,  award Bachelors, Masters, Doctorates as well as Higher National Diplomas in Marine Engineering and Navigation as required by Directorate of Shipping, Govt. of India and the Glasgow University, U.K.
My current research is focused on integrated off-shore and on-shore marine renewable energy harnessing processes and technologies. I am particularly focused on ocean current underwater turbines and related processes of marine renewable energy generation. I also teach courses required for marine engineering students in the Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate level programs as well as to Chief Engineers on certifications. I have research papers published in National and International Journals and numerous projects with substantial results and monetary awards for deployment.

Previously, I served as Chief Engineering on containers and bulk carriers for about 15 years in companies like NOL, Singapore and other companies, internationally. I have a First Class Motor (Unlimited Horse Power) updated to the latest STCW as of date. I also served as General Manager, managing 3 costal ships carrying inter-cargo for an Indian company. I also in off-shore ship-repair and retrofit experience at Sembawang Shipyard in Singapore, and in Ship Repairs in Madras, India. The above experience has covered major repairs, analysis and solutions in tanks and machines in all types of ships that have been reviewed and attested by various 'Classification' societies. I am fully knowledgeable of the latest SOLAS and MARPOL rules and regulations because of my teaching commitments. I have performed audits for ships as required by SMS procedures including external auditing in the presence of the 'Class Surveyor'. Also included in my previous work experience is exhaustive hands-on dry-dock work in the fitters afloat department carrying out various repairs in all types of ships at Sembawang Shipyard, Singapore.

Given my diverse background on board ships, in dry docking as well as in surveying and managerial positions; I am seeking to apply my marine engineering skills with my knowledge of ocean current renewable energy  to develop solutions and systems that would provide comprehensive energy solutions, on-shore or off-shore or to teach/train young cadets to face the challenges at sea. I am available to take any other positions that best suit my resume.

My resume is attached for your perusal. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am best available by email.
