YPFB Tenders to Buy Diesel Cargos

Posted by April 25, 2014

Bolivia's state-run oil company YPFB launched a tender to buy three 230,000 barrel cargos of diesel for delivery from May to August at Arica port in Chile, according to a document seen by Reuters on Friday.

Bolivia is the third-largest South American producer of natural gas, which is exported to countries such as Argentina and Brazil, but in recent years it became a net oil importer while domestic fuel consumption grows.

The company said the first diesel cargo, with maximum 0.5 percent sulfur, should be received on May 15-31 and the following cargoes must arrive by August.

Offers will be received until April 25 and they must be indexed to diesel number 2 prices from the U.S. Gulf Coast.
