Xodus Receives BINDT Endorsement

International energy consultancy Xodus Group, is now one of a limited number of businesses worldwide to be recognized by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) as an Approved Training Organization (ATO) in the field of condition monitoring. BINDT is a UKAS accredited independent certifying body, complying with the criteria of European standard ISO/IEC 17024.

The approval is widely accepted as testimony to the quality of the overall system of training and it’s conformity with relevant international standards such as ISO18436 and ISO9001. Xodus now has authorized training centers in the UK and Middle East and has also been approved as a BINDT examination center.

The vibration analysis courses provided by Xodus are aligned with ISO18436 and are accredited by BINDT to their PCN scheme CM/Gen, Appendix D, Categories 1 and 2.

They are designed to meet the stringent requirements for the structured training of vibration condition monitoring practitioners and to provide suitable preparation for the corresponding PCN certification examinations. Such certification is extremely important across a range of industries, including the oil and gas sector, as it has become a requirement for many employers to ensure that the vibration analyst has the proven necessary skills to perform the often demanding task of vibration analysis.

The Xodus training modules address the process of how to utilize early identification of component deterioration or malfunction and implement wear trending through operating parameter measurement to minimise unscheduled plant shutdowns and associated costs.

All Xodus trainers have many years practical experience and are accredited to at least level 2.

The delivery of these courses is a logical extension to Xodus Vibration Engineering Division machinery/piping/structural vibration and acoustic analysis services already provided to clients representing a broad range of industries. The new training function also fits well into the integrated multi-disciplinary nature of the business.

Plans are already underway to introduce additional higher-level courses and to extend the number of Xodus training centers worldwide.
