Vattenfall Chooses Vestas as Preferred Supplier for 400 MW Project
Vestas said on Monday its joint venture with Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHVYF), MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, has been chosen by utility Vattenfall as the preferred supplier for a 400 megawatt (MW) project offshore Denmark.
The order would be for the Danish company's 8 MW wind turbine, the newest and largest in production in the world and if confirmed it would widen the variety of customers for the machine.
It would be the fifth project to have chosen the turbine that Vestas developed in the joint venture.
