Posted by June 12, 2014

Turkey's Elsan Elektrik placed a top bid of $1.09 billion in a government tender to privatise a coal-fired power plant with 630 megawatts of installed capacity.

The Privatisation Administration's sale of the state-operated Yatagan power plant in southwestern Turkey is part of a wider power-market liberalisation aimed at boosting investment.
