Turkey Approves Second Line of TurkStream Gas Link

Turkey has approved construction of the second line of TurkStream undersea gas pipeline in the Turkish waters, Russian gas giant Gazprom said on Friday.

It said the construction of the two sections of the pipeline, which will run from Russia to Turkey on the bed of the Black Sea, will be completed by the end of 2019.

The capacity of each pipeline is 15.75 billion cubic metres per year. First line will carry gas to the Turkish consumers, the second link is designed to ship gas to southern Europe.
