Technip Energies raises revenue guidance for project delivery in 2025

April 30, 2025

Technip Energies, a French energy infrastructure firm, upgraded its annual revenue expectations on Wednesday for its project-delivery segment, but increased its annual revenue guidance at its technology, product and services division. The company cited macroeconomic uncertainty as the reason.

Due to better visibility, the group, which specializes in energy technology, has raised its 2025 revenue guidance for its project delivery segment from 5.0 to 5.4 billion euro to between 5.2 and 5.6 billion ($6.37 billion). This is an increase of up to 5 billion to 5.5 billion euros.

In its technology, products, and services segment, the group now expects revenue between 1.8 and 2.2 Billion Euros in 2025, compared to previous expectations between 2.0 and 2.2 Billion Euros.

In a press release, CEO Arnaud Piette said that the uncertain macroeconomic and policy environment has led to a wider range of revenue for the shorter cycle segment – Technology, Products & Services.

On a conference call with media, Chief Financial officer Bruno Vibert stated that the technology, products, and services unit was more vulnerable to volatility in the short term.

He said that if there is uncertainty or volatility, this will always have a greater impact on TPS than the project business.

The company reported that adjusted recurring earnings (before interest and taxes) rose by 19%, to 131.7 millions euros, on revenues of 1.85 billion euro in the first quarter.

According to a consensus compiled by the company, analysts expected 126 million euro on revenue of 1,77 billion euros.

Vibert, when asked about the impact of U.S. Tariffs on the company's current projects, said that the company was not affected. He added that the majority of its contracts in the U.S. were for service. (1 dollar = 0.8790 euro) (Reporting and editing by Anna Peverieri)
