Switzerland Releases Fuel Reserves Due to Reduced Supply
Switzerland has released fuel reserves for the first time in almost five years due to reduced supply, the head of compulsory stocks at Switzerland's Federal Office for National Economic Supply said on Tuesday.
"On Monday, we decided to release reserves of 50,000 cubic meters for diesel and 40,000 cubic meters for gasoline," Lucio Gastaldi said.
The decision was taken due to the temporary closure last week for technical reasons of a refinery in Cressier, Switzerland, as well as limited supplies from ships and railways.
