Spangenberg Relocates to Glander International, Oslo
Glander International Bunkering has today announced the relocation of Bunker and Lubricant Trader Victor Spangenberg, from Dubai to its new Oslo office. Glander International Bunkering (Norway) AS recently expanded its operations to the capital in order to gain access to new market segments in the shipping industry. Now, having two offices in Norway and by adding a further member to the Oslo team, the office will confirm its arrival to the industry.
Originally from Germany, Victor has been with Glander International Bunkering for a year now, establishing himself in the German and European market from the Dubai office. Victor will continue to serve his existing clients from Oslo and will play a key role in setting up the new operation. His suitability for the role was proven by his diverse educational background and international experience in Asia and Europe, having lived in Germany, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai and Spain. Victor speaks English and German fluently with a basic understanding of Spanish, making him a perfect addition to the team.
This move is seamlessly in line with the group’s expansion objectives, and promotes its ability to transfer knowledge, skills and experience worldwide. Glander International Bunkering holds a strong position in an ever changing market by strategically placing its team at major market points. The transition is also a primary example of the group’s mobility programme, which allows employees to gain international experience and bring a holistic approach to practices as a result.
Christoffer Berg Lassen, CEO and Managing Director of Glander International Bunkering says:
“In the past year Victor has proven himself to be a strong team player and a valuable asset to the group. As such, we are pleased to have such a flexible structure in place that allows a smooth transition of talent across the globe.”
Further commenting on the transfer, Andreas Maierhofer, General Manager of the Oslo office says:
“I am excited to have Victor on board and look forward to his help in strengthening operations here in Oslo.”
