Rosneft privatization Completed

Yesterday at the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin Igor Sechin, Rosneft's head informed that the Rosneft privatization was completed and the deal on selling a 19.5% stake in Rosneft for 10.5 billion euro has been completed. The strategic investor became the consortium of Glencore (GLCNF) trader company and Qatar’s sovereign find.

Sberbank CEO Herman Gref considers Rosneft privatization deal successful due to discount. The transaction on privatization of 19.5% shares in Rosneft will not facilitate the access to foreign markets for other companies due to anti-Russia sanctions.

All necessary documents for finalizing the deal on privatization of a stake in Rosneft were prepared.

The selling stake was prepared in Russian government, the governmental press service reports. Governmental documents and directives for finalizing the deal will be issued soon.
Igor Sechin also reported on the details of the deal to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
