Russia's Rosneft issued a spot tender to sell 200,000 tonnes of Urals crude oil from the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk on October 7-8 and from Ust-Luga on October 6-7, traders said on Tuesday.
The tender closes on Sept. 22 at 1500 Moscow time (1200 GMT), the results will be announced not later than Sept. 23.
Rosneft sells nearly all the volumes of its crude oil exports under long-term contracts. This year, Rosneft has started to sell one or two 140,000 tonne cargoes for loading from Novorossiisk on the spot market.
Traders believe than the increase in Rosneft's spot trade is due to lower volumes of purchases by its biggest long-term buyer Trafigura.
