Exhibit to feature the MTU Frac Pack powered by the Series 4000 T95 Tier 4 final diesel engine, the MTU Frac Bi-Fuel Kit and latest offshore marine power and propulsion technology

Rolls-Royce will showcase its latest offshore power and propulsion solutions and MTU engine technologies designed for onshore oil and gas applications at the upcoming 2015 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), May 4-7. The exhibit will feature the MTU Frac Pack and the MTU S83 Frac Bi-Fuel Kit in addition to a Rolls-Royce offshore winch simulator.

The MTU brand is part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems within the Land & Sea division of Rolls-Royce.

The MTU Frac Pack is powered by the MTU Series 4000 T95 Tier 4 final engine, and is available in a 12-cylinder configuration that offers three power ratings: 1,678 kW (2,250 bhp), 1,864 kW (2,500 bhp) and 1,939 kW (2,600 bhp). The Series 4000 T95 is also available as a loose engine in a 16-cylinder configuration with a power output of 2,237 kW (3,000 bhp). The T95 is engineered to achieve EPA Tier 4 final emissions standards utilizing advanced internal engine technology, eliminating the need for any exhaust aftertreatment. Coupled with the ZF 8TX transmission, the MTU Frac Pack produces industry-leading power and torque to provide customers maximum flow and rate during intense frac operations.

The MTU Frac Bi-Fuel Kit features an integrated bi-fuel control architecture designed specifically for well service and pressure pumping applications. This technology allows operators to utilize natural gas as a fuel source for their diesel-powered equipment, providing a solution to reduce fuel costs. The Frac Bi-Fuel Kit is available to be added to any MTU 12V 4000 S83 engine.

An interactive display in the Rolls-Royce / MTU exhibit will feature a Rolls-Royce winch simulator alongside a vessel model and scale model of the MTU 16V 4000.

OTC 2015 attendees are also invited to visit the MTU ValueCare display in the MTU exhibit, which will also offer information on MTU’s complete portfolio of genuine parts and expert service.
