Repsol Still Looking for Acquisitions

May 8, 2014

Spanish oil company Repsol is still looking for one or several acquisitions of companies or assets to help boost its upstream business, its chief financial officer said on a conference call on Thursday.

Repsol is looking for opportunities in OECD countries that offer extra growth capacity but is not in any hurry for purchases, CFO Miguel Martinez said.

Martinez reiterated Repsol's stance on the potential sale of its 30 percent stake in Gas Natural Fenosa, saying that the company would only sell the stake if it identifies a very attractive upstream investment opportunity.
