Petroperu Tenders to Buy ULSD and Sell Virgin Naphtha

Posted by May 28, 2014

State-run Petroperu has launched tenders to buy six 290,000 barrel cargoes of ultra low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) to be received from July to August and to sell a 200,000 barrel cargo of virgin naphtha for June, according to invitations seen by Reuters on Wednesday.

Petroperu increased offers to purchase crude and finished products on the open market during April, but in May it has bought a smaller volume.

The company will receive bids until May 28 for the ULSD cargoes, which must be unloaded at Conchan and Mollendo ports starting on July 1-5. Prices must be indexed to ULSD from the U.S. Gulf Coast.

For the virgin naphtha cargo to be sold, Petroperu will accept offers until May 29 and they must refer to unleaded gasoline 87 from the U.S. Gulf Coast, according to the document. The cargo will be loaded at Talara port on June 26-30.

Petroperu also launched this week a previous tender to buy two 100,000 barrel cargoes of biodiesel that will be received from July 15 to August 30 at Talara, Mollendo and Conchan ports.
