Petroperu introduced its Oil Museum
PETROPERÚ reopened its doors Petroleum Museum, located inside the Park Legends, in a ceremony that attracted the interest of the national press and attracted many personalities, not only the oil sector, but also cultural and diplomatic.
Company President, Mr. Germán Velasquez Salazar, invited the public-and especially children-to visit the facilities of the museum, considered the only one of its kind dedicated to the hydrocarbon industry. "To PETROPERÚ it is an honor to reopen the doors of the Museum of Oil to make it available to all Peruvians, especially our youth. After almost three years of work and intensive maintenance, return to open the doors of the museum, art ., spacious, educational and interactive and we believe that museums must consider new and more entertaining looks; new, more debatable content and new, more inclusive proposals, "the official said noting the presence of tens of school on this day.
It also stressed the effort and dedication of PETROPERÚ to make the reopening of the museum actually built in an area that includes more than six thousand square meters, in gardens and even an artificial lake. "The culture and entertainment go hand in hand with this museum, which -through videos- models and provides information on the origin, exploration, production, transportation, refining and marketing of oil," he said.
It notes that the ceremony was special presence of the President of the Peruvian Society of Hydrocarbons, Dr. Beatriz Merino Lucero and the Manager of Promotion and Development Leyendas Park, Julio Rivasplata. Both officials agreed on the importance of education with which collaborates PETROPERÚ to put back into operation this facility, they said definitely help to foster among children the importance of hydrocarbons in our daily lives.
Among the main innovations of the renovated museum, include models depicting the process of refining and marketing of hydrocarbons and exposure of explanatory videos, among other innovations.
Importantly, the oil museum admission is free. It is located within the Parque de las Leyendas and hours are from 9am to 5pm.
