Petrobras' Oil Production Up
Petrobras informs that its total production of oil and natural gas in April was 2.69 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), of which 2.50 million boed were produced in Brazil and 190,000 boed in Foreign coutries.
The average oil production in April was 2.12 million barrels per day (bpd), 5% above the volume produced in the previous month, which was 2.02 million bpd. In this production, 2.03 million bpd were produced in Brazil and 89,000 bpd abroad.
The recovery in output compared with the levels of the previous month was mainly due to return to operating platforms that were in maintenance in March, highlighting the P-31 (Albacora field) and P-48 (Caratinga field).
Pre - salt production
The production of oil and natural gas operated by Petrobras in the pre - salt layer in April was 994,000 boe / d, 9.9% below the previous month.
Oil production operated by Petrobras in April was also 9.4% lower compared to the previous month, reaching a monthly average of 801,000 barrels per day.
This reduction was mainly due to the stop at the FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis and the FPSO Cidade de Paraty.
Production of natural gas
The average production of natural gas in the country, excluding the liquefied volume, was 73.5 million cubic meters / day, up to 8.5% in the previous month (67.8 million m³ / day).
The average natural gas production abroad was 17.3 million cubic meters / day, 5.5% above the 16.4 million m³ / day to achieved the previous month.
