Petrobras Maintains 1 mln bpd Production
The production of oil and natural gas operated by Petrobras in the pre-salt layer remained above 1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed) in September, with an average production of 1.028 million boed, having reached the time high of 1.12 million boed the 15th of this month.
The same day, 15 September, the new daily record of operated oil production in the pre-salt is also set, with 901,000 barrels per day (bpd). Throughout the month of September, the average oil production operated in the pre-salt stood at 828,000 bpd.
Production of oil and natural gas in September
The average production of oil and natural gas from Petrobras in Brazil and abroad in September was 2.72 million boed, compared to 2.88 million boed recorded in August, volume, on occasion, represented a record production company.
Oil production in Brazil until September reaches the average of 2.13 million barrels of oil per day (bpd)
The average oil production of Petrobras in the country until September stood at 2.13 million bpd. In September, oil production was 2.06 million bpd. The reduction of 6.7% compared with August production (2.21 million bpd) was mainly due to scheduled shutdowns of large platforms, especially stop the P-52 platform for maintenance.
The own production of natural gas, excluding the liquefied volume, was 75.0 million cubic meters / day in September, a result 2.8% lower than in the previous month (77.2 million m³ / day).
Thus, the own production of oil and gas by Petrobras in Brazil in September was 2.53 million boed, 6% less than the volume produced in August (2.69 million boed).
Oil and gas abroad
Outside were produced in September, 188,000 boed, 1.5% below the 192,000 boed produced the previous month. The decline occurred mainly in the Akpo field, located in Nigeria, following cleaning operations carried out in the export pipeline, and the expiration of the concession of part of Block Jaguel Males in province of La Pampa in Argentina.
The average oil production only in September was 97,000 bpd, 4.4% below the 101,000 bpd the previous month, also due to the reasons mentioned above.
The average natural gas production abroad was 15.5 million m³ / d, up 0.3% from August production, which was 15.4 million m³ / d.
