PBES Sets Up Danish Operations in Copenhagen
Plan B Energy Storage (PBES) announced today the creation of PBES Denmark ApS. PBES Denmark will be the cornerstone of the energy storage industry in Denmark, delivering local jobs and focussing on bringing energy storage systems to marine and grid solutions in Denmark.
PBES is the industry leader in MWh grid and marine solutions, delivering the most powerful and safe systems in the world today, supported by the best service and support group in the energy storage industry.
PBES has been working with Invest in Denmark in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Copenhagen Capacity to develop relationships within Denmark that will bring rewards to Northern Europe - both in marine and renewable energy applications.
PBES Strongly supports the Danish initiative to eliminate tax on electricity for commercial marine applications- a true demonstration of the Danish Governments commitment to eliminating harmful emissions where they are produced- in ports and commercial marine. PBES Denmark ApS represents an ideal local partner to bring these environmental benefits to reality.
In 2016 PBES has been awarded several energy storage contracts in the Nordic Countries for hybrid as well as for full electric ferries, which will produce substantially less or even zero emissions. Other examples of commercial marine hybrid applications include offshore oil platforms, offshore supply vessels, wind farm support vessels and even super-yachts.
“Denmark joins Norway in building industry and technology that will change the quality of the world we live in today. It is a testament to vision and commitment that resides in the Nordic spirit. This spirit will change the face of the entire globe through demonstration and practical proof of the economic and social viability of large scale adoption of clean energy,” says Brent Perry, chief executive officer, PBES.
“We are very pleased to welcome PBES to Denmark,” said Matthew Delany, Regional Project Manager, Copenhagen Capacity and Invest in Denmark. “Their proven technology and business model provide huge opportunity in Denmark and other EU nations. We look forward to supporting them in their continued success in Denmark and the EU.”
