Offshore Cargo Carrying and A60 module company OEG Offshore (OEG) has delivered a specialist surface equipment project worth in excess of $500,000 for a global oilfield service company based in Aberdeen, Scotland, U.K.

OEG Offshore’s A60 module manufacturing facility in Dyce, Aberdeen manufactured and delivered four integrated variable speed drive (VSD) skid packages for onshore drilling operations in the Netherlands. The modular solutions team based at the Kirkton facility provided the complete design and build package.

The project saw OEG’s specialist team carry out all mechanical installation, electrical wiring and termination of step up, step down transformers and variable speed drives as well as the installation of high voltage (HV) electrics for the DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 20ft skids.

Dave Hunter, operations director of OEG said, “Securing and completing this project within a short timescale has been a positive start to 2016, coming as a repeat order from an existing client. Our certified high voltage electricians were praised for the smooth and efficient installation and testing of the HV electrics, providing cost efficiencies to the client and end user.

“OEG continues to provide a high standard of equipment and expertise in the design and build of modular solutions and the on-time delivery of the VSD skid packages confirms our commitment to providing a flexible and high quality solution for a variety of oil and gas markets.”

OEG Offshore can design and outfit modules, cabins and skid packages to perform any number of functions to suit client project requirements, suitable for operations in arctic, desert, offshore and onshore environments.

OEG’s range of DNV 2.7-1 cargo carrying units as well as A60 engineering cabins are available worldwide. They offer the same varied range of equipment for sale as well as rental, alongside a bespoke design service.
