Tim Charters has been promoted to Vice President of Governmental and Political Affairs at the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA).  Charters joined NOIA as a Senior Director in June of 2017, after serving as Vice President of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs at the National Stripper Well Association.

“Tim’s extensive Congressional and industry experience in energy and natural resources issues serves NOIA well, as evidenced by his diligent work this past year on diverse issues facing our member companies in both the offshore oil and gas and wind sectors. Tim hit the water swimming, so to speak, and has made key strategic and policy decisions to the benefit of the offshore energy industry,” said NOIA President Randall Luthi.

Tim has nearly 20 years of Congressional experience. Past positions include: Staff Director of the Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee of the House Natural Resources Committee under Chairman Doc Hastings (R-WA), Director of Policy Coordination for the full Natural Resources Committee, and Legislative Director to Rep. Steve Pearce (R-NM).

Prior to that, Charters owned and operated his own lobbying company, Charters and Company, after serving nearly ten years for multiple members of the California Delegation.
